The artist (Umesh Shebe) captured the spirit of Obama, the rock star of American politics with this painting. An art lover described this 2000 painting as "Oh Ba Ma", and Shebe agrees that there's an uncanny resemblance and was surprised that he painted it way back then. He today wants to dedicate this painting to Obama and wishes him all the best for the Presidential elections in November.
When quizzed about why it shows the candidate as a black tribal singing hysterically, he said it’s an artistic representation and not a visual thought to connect the candidate to any backwardness. The true spirit of the painting is in the expression and the energy which is the essence of the character and reflects the ever growing charm of Obama.
